Thank you for booking your pet in for surgery at Mosman Vet! Please read through all of the following information before bringing them to us tomorrow.

The following information is designed to answer some of the questions you might have prior to your pet’s procedure. At Mosman Vet we understand how important it is your pet receives the highest standard of care, we therefore offer several extras for your consideration as part of your pet’s anaesthetic package for routine procedures. This information includes options to consider prior to your pet’s surgery, as well as how to prepare your pet for their day in hospital.

Your admissions nurse will be happy to answer any questions you may have in advance on (02) 9960 2856, or at your admissions appointment on the day of your pet’s procedure. Please allow 15 minutes for this admission consultation to ensure we gather all the information needed to ensure a safe & smooth day for your pet.

Before Your Pet Has Surgery

What to be aware of before you bring your pet in for surgery at Mosman Vet.

Pre-Anaesthetic Blood Tests

This test is routinely performed to ensure your pet is healthy enough to undergo a general anaesthetic or sedation.

Intravenous Fluids During Surgery

We recommend IV fluid therapy for all patients undergoing surgery for a safer and more comfortable anaesthetic.
