Momo the dog

Meet Momo

This little guy came in to see us after his owners saw him swallow a (metal chain) bookmark!

Luckily Dr Amy and Dr Naomi were able to identify where the bookmark was with an x-ray, and proceed straight to endoscopy – where a special camera is placed down the oesophagus and into the stomach. With this technology, we were able to gently grasp the bookmark and remove it without the need for surgery!

Little Momo came in for his recent check-up and vaccination with us and is back to 100% (although we don’t know if he will be allowed to do any reading anymore!).

We have a brand-new  endoscope that is perfect for these exact scenarios – saving time, stress and reducing the need for surgery in our patients.
